My idea for the entrepreneurial project is a visual closet. At home as well as at school it is very hard to go through my closet and pick out clothes because it it compact and the clothes are so close together. I always have shirts that I never end up wearing because they are tucked far back in my closet so I do not see them when I am trying to go through my closet. That is why I thought of the idea of a visual closet. The visual closet would be a touch screen pad on the outside of your closet (it can be portable as well) that has images of all of your clothes so you cal scroll through and view them as well as place them on a picture of yourself to view outfits together. As a girl I know how frustrating it can be trying on multiple outfits and how tiring it gets so this would eliminate this issue.

This week in class we talked about twitter and other social media outlets. Twitter would be a great source for this project. New updates for the virtual closet could be posted on the twitter page to let fans know about the latest software and updates. As well, celebrities could be integrated into the twitter exposure as well because they could show how they are using the closet and how much it has helped them. Twitpics as well as video can also be something that could be a great benefit to this company. By adding pictures to twitter users can get a better idea of how to use the product and see how helpful it really is. Videos can be updated into tweets as well to show tutorials on how to use the virtual closet.

Facebook and Google could also be a huge help to the virtual product. By the virtual closet having a Facebook page users could comment on the wall to let others know the benefits of the virtual closet and give each other tips. Google could be used to search the product and find the website as well as customer service and online ordering. These social media outlets will be very beneficial to the virtual closet and help promote and get the product out there.

  1. Another interesting application for the virtual closet would be for people that have two closets. For instance, students going off to college often find themselves looking for clothing that they thought they brought with them but is really at their main home. You could build in some logic to have it piece together an outfit that perhaps you haven't worn in a long time or give you statistics about which clothing you should perhaps part ways with because it never gets worn.

  3. I think your entrepreneurial idea is great. I know that I always find myself trying on multiple outfits, and finding shirts and other clothes with the tags still on them. Having Visual Closet would make it so much easier to remember what items I have in my closet without searching through the entire thing. Using Twitter to explain how to use the product is also a good idea!

  4. I really like the idea of having a visual closet, it is original and it is helpful in so many ways. Having a visual closet can show you how you would look with an outfit without ever putting it on to see how you would look. I do think this is a hard invention because it will take an abundance of information and technology to sort out the clothes you have in your closet. I like the idea so much, I would be a big supporter and I will buy it.

  5. I love this idea. I have the same exact problem with my closets. The touchscreen idea makes it very up to date with the world we live in, and Twitter, Facebook, and Google will definitely help spread the word about your virtual closet because they are very popular websites. Posting video or picture examples would also help and engage people in using this idea.
